J-Fall 2018: Gebrian uit de Bulten & Thijs Willems – Keynote: Waarom ook jouw kind op de basisschool behoefte heeft aan persoonlijk leren met behulp van Artificial Intelligence
Educatieve Uitgeverij Malmberg, de marktleider in het basisonderwijs, heeft in augustus dit jaar een revolutionair nieuw digitaal concept gelanceerd voor het Basisonderwijs. Vernieuwend is de manier waarop het platform real-time o.b.v. ‘artificial intelligence’ met de leerlingen meedenkt en hen steeds díe lesstof toont die exact aansluit bij hun niveau.
De onderliggende techniek faciliteert hiermee de docent om gedifferentieerd leren in de klas mogelijk te maken. De docent blijft wel nog steeds volledig ‘in control’ over de aangeboden lesstof door gebruik te maken van geavanceerde tooling in de klas gericht op inzicht, grip en control.
Hoewel tevreden met het resultaat voor het basisonderwijs is Malmberg nu samen met Accenture aan het verkennen hoe het technisch hergebruik van componenten nog beter toegepast kan worden door na te denken over een architectuur met een meer vertical- & microservices-gedachte; met uiteraard Java als fundament. Dit mede gedreven ook door de richting binnen Sanoma Learning, het moederbedrijf achter Malmberg, om meer focus te geven aan het internationaal ontwikkelen van digitale educatieve oplossingen over haar 5 Europese dochterbedrijven heen.
In deze keynote zullen we de journey uitleggen hoe we als echte Java shop, AI en andere technologieen gebruikt om de volgende stap te maken.
I am responsible for the Liquid Studio Netherlands this is a startup organization sponsored by Accenture where we bring the newest technology (drones, AI, devops etc) to our customers. I come from a Java background and now have extended this knowledge to Agile & DevOps and i am seen as an evangelist in these areas. I have done several presentations at conferences including keynotes to talk about how you can transform your application, architecture or organization to change from a legacy world to state of the art to be able to compete with other new technology organizations like amazon, netflix and google.
has over 15 years of international experience in (online) product management and creating new business in the media industry. I’m strong in combining knowledge of latest (web) technology with commercial expertise in internet business. Thijs is responsible for the development done at Malmberg which is mostly based on Java and Vertx. Also is Malmberg fully cloud enabled where all applications are running on the public cloud.
