Microsoft Azure Space demonstreerde onlangs een GPT-enabled chat interface die is ontworpen om het Pentagon te helpen bij het vinden en opvragen van satellietgegevens. Microsoft is tevens van plan om andere space gerelateerde initiatieven te presenteren tijdens het Space Symposium van volgende week in Colorado.

Volgens de website is Microsoft Azure Space Space een platform dat cloudconnectivity en -computing mogelijk maakt in alle sectoren, waaronder ruimtevaart, landbouw, telecommunicatie en overheid.

De demonstratie vond vorige maand plaats en maakt deel uit van het -programma van de Hybrid Space Architecture (HSA) dat commerciële en overheidscapaciteiten probeert te integreren om de operationele en informatieve veiligheid te behouden en tegelijkertijd samenwerking tussen diensten, bondgenoten en partners mogelijk te maken.

Het HSA-project bevindt zich momenteel in de tweede fase, waarbij cloudgebaseerde opslag en analyse met meerdere domeinen worden geïntegreerd, en deelname van Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure Space en anderen.

Microsoft Azure Space levert zijn Azure Orbital Cloud Access en Azure Orbital Ground Station voor het HSA-programma.
