Google Supports New Nuclear Plants to Power AI
Tech giants are showing growing interest in nuclear energy, with Google recently committing to purchase electricity from seven nuclear reactors to be constructed by Kairos Power. The initiative is expected to generate 500 megawatts of nuclear power by the end of this decade. While the locations for these plants are still undecided, Google plans to position its data centers in proximity to them. However, it remains uncertain whether these centers will receive electricity directly from the reactors or through the general power grid
